The 2012 Mazda CX-5 crossover SUV will cost from £21,395, says Mazda UK. Choice of 18 models, 2WD and 4WD, diesel and petrol. The 2012 Mazda CX-5 arrived officially at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year and now, with it set to arrive in UK showrooms in the spring and order books open, Mazda has revealed details of the CX-5 models on offer in the UK, and their price. The CX-5 is the first production Mazda to get the new SkyActiv technology in the two engines on offer – a 2.0 litre petrol with 165PS and a 2.2 litre diesel with either 150PS or 175PS – with options of either 2WD or 4WD, manual or automatic gearboxes and four trim levels - SE-L, SE-L Nav, Sport and Sport Nav.

There can’t be many motorists in the UK who haven’t fallen foul of our pitted and potholed roads (one of the Cars UK team had a £1500 suspension re-build bill last year), so anything we can do to point out what needs doing is a bonus. So the news that the government is backing an App to report potholes in the UK to the tune of £30,000 is good news (assuming the reported potholes get acted on).
Peugeot has previewed its Onyx concept, set to debut at this month's Paris motor show, just days after the first teaser images were released. Very much a supercar in terms of its proportions and form, the Onyx is not the first time Peugeot's previewed super and super-sports cars in concept form, but the Onyx looks a lot more promising than previous efforts, from these photos at least. Conforming to the modern, eco-conscious supercar norm, the Onyx features a hybrid drivetrain - following in the footsteps of the BMW i8, Honda NSX and Jaguar CX-75.
Peugeot's stated aim is to push itself upmarket and become a more premium brand, so the Onyx could be read as a sign that the company feels it needs more of a 'halo' car in order to achieve that aim.
